About

The Dallas Sports Rant is an opinions blog focusing on collegiate and professional sports in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex.

The site is owned and operated by Jamie Plunkett, a TCU graduate with a B.S. in advertising and public relations. In short, he’s a sports junkie. Born and raised in Dallas, he grew up following Dallas sports closely and passionately. He created the Dallas Sports Rant as an opportunity to unleash his sports knowledge and bias on the rest of the world. He also performs a pretty excellent karaoke version of Ice Ice Baby.

Wiley Phillips, another TCU graduate, joined the Dallas Sports Rant in January 2011. His finance background allows him to see into the inner workings of professional sports and breakdown what’s really happening in front offices across the country. Wiley is a fan of the San Antonio Spurs, but we still let him hang out with us.

Parker Fleming joined the Dallas Sports Rant in November 2011. Also a TCU graduate, Parker grew up in Memphis, and is a rabid Cardinals and Grizzlies fan. He’s also a self-proclaimed, “connoisseur of Conference USA football.” He’ll be posting about national stories, and, when the season comes up, TCU baseball.

On the back end, the site is maintained by Chris Reed, proprietor of Chris Reed Tech. He also maintains Deep Fried Couch, a Memphis-centric everything blog founded by Chase Lucas.
